THE NEXT CHAPTER OF BARRELHOUSE
Bigger Brewing. Better Experiences. Same Good Times.
Big things are happening at BarrelHouse Brewing Co., and we're excited to share what's next.
When we first announced The Hangar project, we envisioned a new home for our growing brewery alongside an expansive public market, beer gardens, and community gathering spaces. It was an ambitious vision, and one we're still passionate about.
As the project has evolved, so have our priorities.
Today, The Hangar is taking shape as a thriving multi-tenant industrial and commercial business park, home to a growing collection of independent businesses. BarrelHouse will be one of those businesses, bringing our newest and most advanced production brewery online in 2027.
And while we're building the future of our brewery, we're also preparing to make some exciting improvements to the place where it all began.
BARRELHOUSE BREWING CO. BREWING FACILITY AT THE HANGAR
A New Home for Brewing. A Growing Home for Business.
Located on the historic Sherwood Field property in Paso Robles, The Hangar – Industrial Park is evolving into a dynamic commercial destination for local businesses.
Owned and managed by Esteem Land Company, The Hangar brings together a diverse collection of independent businesses within one of Paso Robles' most distinctive industrial properties. For BarrelHouse, The Hangar represents the next major investment in our brewing future.
Scheduled to come online in 2027, our new state-of-the-art production brewery will feature expanded brewing and packaging capabilities, improved efficiencies, and the space needed to support our continued growth.
But bringing a new brewery online is about more than installing equipment and turning on the taps. We'll spend the following years fine-tuning our systems, dialing in production, and ensuring the beer coming out of our new facility meets the standards you've come to expect from BarrelHouse.

TIN CITY
Back Where It All Began. And Better Than Ever.
While our brewing operations move to The Hangar, our original Tin City location isn't going anywhere. In fact, it's getting some much-deserved attention.
For more than a decade, our Paso Robles Taproom & Beer Garden has been the heart of BarrelHouse. It's where we've shared countless beers, hosted unforgettable concerts, and brought together a community of good people. And as we've grown, so have the crowds.
With production moving out, we'll have the opportunity to reimagine our existing interior space and create an even better experience for everyone who visits.
Here's what we're planning:
A significantly larger indoor taproom, with more room to gather, relax, and enjoy a beer.
A much bigger bar, designed to serve more guests comfortably.
Additional tables and seating, giving everyone more room to spread out.
Expanded climate-controlled space, providing a comfortable escape from chilly Central Coast winters and those triple-digit summer afternoons.
The beer garden experience you love, with the same outdoor atmosphere, live music, and good times that made Tin City a destination.
Our goal isn't to reinvent BarrelHouse. It's to make the original experience even better.
Same roots. More room. Better beer-drinking weather.
More room to brew. More opportunities to innovate. And the same commitment to making great beer. Please note: The Hangar production brewery will not be open to the public for tastings or taproom service.
WHAT ABOUT THE ORIGINAL HANGAR VISION?
Still Dreaming Big. Just Taking a Different Route.
When we originally introduced The Hangar, we shared a vision for a public market, beer gardens, local artisans, food vendors, and community gathering spaces. We haven't forgotten that vision. But as the property has developed and more independent businesses have made The Hangar their home, we've recognized an opportunity to approach the project differently. Rather than rushing into another public-facing destination, we're focusing our resources on two priorities: successfully launching our new production brewery and transforming our original Tin City location into an even better place to gather.
Once those projects are complete and our new brewery is running smoothly, we'll revisit the future public experience at The Hangar.
For now, we're focused on doing the things in front of us exceptionally well. And when the time comes to write the next chapter at The Hangar, you can bet we'll have some ideas worth sharing.
GOOD PEOPLE. GOOD TIMES. GREAT BEER.
From our first brews in Tin City to the next generation of BarrelHouse brewing at The Hangar, one thing hasn't changed: our commitment to great beer and the people who bring it all together. We're proud of where we've been, excited about where we're going, and grateful to have you along for the ride.
Cheers to what's next!
FAQs
Is BarrelHouse moving out of Tin City?
Absolutely not! We're moving our brewing and packaging operations to The Hangar, but our original Paso Robles Taproom & Beer Garden is staying right where it belongs. Better yet, we're planning a major interior renovation to create more indoor seating, a larger bar, and additional climate-controlled space.
When will the new brewery at The Hangar open?
Our new production facility is scheduled to come online in 2027. This is a production brewery, not a public taproom, so there won't be a grand opening for public tastings or beer service.
Will there eventually be a BarrelHouse taproom at The Hangar?
It's still a possibility! Our original vision included a public market, beer gardens, and gathering spaces. While we haven't abandoned those ideas, they're on hold as we prioritize our new production facility and improvements to Tin City.
What is The Hangar Industrial Park?
The Hangar is a multi-tenant industrial and commercial business park in Paso Robles, owned and managed by Esteem Land Company. BarrelHouse Brewing Co. is one of several independent businesses operating within the property.
When will the Tin City renovations begin?
Our focus is first on bringing the new production brewery online in 2027. As brewing and packaging operations transition out of Tin City, we'll be able to move forward with plans to expand and improve the existing taproom. We'll share more details as the project progresses.
